The best thing about French:
| Person: | "Ça va?" |
| Other person: | "Ça va. Ça va?" |
| Person: | "Ça va." |
| Person: | "Ça va?" |
| Other person: | "Ça va. Ça va?" |
| Person: | "Ça va." |

I wrote a post last year about my dad and how our relationship changed over time to being where it is today. Now things with us are great, and I’m lucky to have that. My dad is also getting a second chance with my younger brother. And he has been an excellent dad to my little brother as well.
Happy Father’s Day to my awesome Sicilian dad, who thankfully taught me everything I know about cooking, and then some. Without you, Dad, I’d still be thinking Ragu was legitimate spaghetti sauce.
I also want to give a special shout out to my mom who raised me and my sister during my father’s incarceration. My mom was everything to me for a long period in my life and she did a kick ass job at it. So happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, and an extra special shout out to everyone who’s ever acted as a dad.. aunts and uncles, big brothers and sisters who took on responsibility, grandpas and grandmas, families who’ve taken in kids and given them love. And saving the best for last… love to all the single mamas out there…. You are the sun and the moon to so many kids…..keep shining
